New Puppy Checklist

Puppies start teething at about 12 weeks of age. They are curious little friends so be sure that you have chew toys and treats to entertain them.

Crates and play yards are recommended to keep your puppy safe and out of trouble. Remember your puppy has slept for the last 8 weeks with lots of other furry pillows so please provide a comfortable area for sleeping. 

Your puppy will have outdoor potty training starting around 5-6 weeks of age but extra pee pads are never a bad idea. If your puppy tends to have accidents in one area place a pee pad there and slowly move it closer to the door.

It is important to choose a collar and leash that is sized appropriately for your breed and age of puppy. We even recommend at a younger age to use a harness. Our puppies will start leash training at 6 weeks of age.

Don't be fooled into thinking that your puppy does not need an ID Tag just because we microchip them. ID tags help with a speedy reunion.

We recommend a brush; dye free, fragrance free puppy shampoo; and nail trimmer or grinder. Of course you can just get yourself an amazing groomer as well.
